I was just scrolling through my phone and I came across an affirmation that I saved to the pinned resources at the top of my notes app. It’s so freaking good, I just have to share it with you.
I cannot for the life of me remember where I read it or who said it first, so forgive me for not providing appropriate attribution. But I love this affirmation so much that I honestly think it might be one of the most powerful self-affirming statements I have ever read or heard. And I have read and heard a LOT of stuff.
Without further ado, here is the affirmation in its entirety:
I am who I am, and that is enough.
I am who I am and that is enough.
I am who I am and that is enough.
How freaking genius is that?
When I originally came across this quote, I believe the author recommended repeating it three times out loud to yourself. I am someone who loves to talk out loud to myself because I find my own company delightful, and let’s face it, I’m an extrovert who spends a lot of time alone. So I have no problem saying things out loud, especially when they make me feel as amazing and empowered as this statement.
I am who I am and that is enough.
Please use this affirmation whenever and wherever you need it. Think of it like sunshine after a series of rainy days, or an awesome hug from the best friend you haven’t seen in months. Let it be a cascade of love that you pour on yourself just because you deserve to feel great today.
You are who you are and that is enough.
I am who I am, and that is enough.
Amen!
